Three panels composing a Deisis, the figures represented half-length, Christ in the centre shown frontal, blessing and holding an open inscribed Gospel book, flanked by the Mother of God and John the Baptist, each leaning towards him, their hands extended in supplication, rendered delicately with sombre colours following, with cloisonné enamelled oklads

Provenance
Purchased by the present owner from Sotheby's, 7 October 1998 (sale LN8614, Lot 220). According to the Sotheby's catalogue, the lot had been previously sold at Christie's Geneva (The Herbette Collection), 25th and 26th May 1971 (no sale and lot number provided)
