Two Japanese bronze models of an elephant and a tiger, 19th Century
the first depicting a distressed elephant with ivory tusks, its trunk curled skywards, under attack by two fierce tigers; and a tiger, with raised stripes, modelled midstride, its long tail stretching out behind it, signed to base -- 8¼in. (21cm.) high max. (2)
