A Japanese bronze koro group with covers modelled as a cockerel and hen, with signature Masatsune, Meiji (1868-1912)
naturalistically modelled with realistic feather representation, the standing cock with long tail feathers pointing skywards, open mouthed before his seated hen, a chick nestled under her wing, the head of the cock and back section of the hen forming removeable covers for the gilt copper koro liners, two inlaid signature seals to cocks breast and to the underside of the hen -- max. 12¾in. (32.5cm) high, wood stand.
