A Chinese celadon jade vase, 19th century
of flattened ovoid form, with high shoulders rising to the tall waisted neck and galleried rim, carved with a pair of C scroll handles, supported on a splayed foot with a later silver mount, the body carved in low relief with four lobes -- 4 5/16in. (10.9cm.) overall high; and a soapstone square seal, the top carved with a tortoise turning its head to the left watching its young climbing over its side above crested waves, all above a geometric pattern framing the square section -- 3 3/16in. (8.1cm.) high, 20th Century (2)
