A Chinese mottled-celadon jade mythical beast carving, Ming dynasty (1368-1644)
carved as a recumbent bixie, the goat-like head looking forward with the single horn touching the spined back, the sides applied with fire scrolls above the legs tucked under the belly, the stone with russet inclusions -- 2 7/16in. (6.1cm.) long.
