A pair of Chinese famille rose 'bat' shaped jardinieres, 19th Century
each with 'bat' shaped deep flared sides rising to the flattened lipped rim, with a raised band around the base supported on six lappet feet with moulded ruyi-heads, the exterior variously decorated with ducks and other birds in a lotus pond and under peony sprays and pine alternating with lotus sprays, two drainage holes to the base -- max. 10 15/16in. (27.9cm.) wide. (2)
