A French engraved gilt-brass striking and repeating eight day carriage clock with calendar and alarm
No.1794. Circa 1870
The oval case engraved with floral designs against a matted ground and with conforming decoration to the scroll handle, foliate scroll engraved mask to the white enamel Roman chapter disc, blued steel Breguet hands, with discs below for day of week, alarm and date, the twin barrels movement with silvered platform to bimetallic lever balance, strike/repeat/alarm on gong to back plate numbered 1794
6 in. (15 cm.) high, handle down
