The finely cast case with foliate pillars and handle, inset malachite panels to both sides, to the engraved top plate and to the rear door with sprung catch, released from the underside of an integral plinth, the engraved and silvered dial with Roman chapters and silvered Breguet hands, the single barrel movement with platform lever escapement with monometallic balance, signed on the back plate Hunt & Roskell/156 New Bond Street/London, also stamped B and 1591, the rear door stamped GAN
