Painted predominantly in blue and enriched in green, ochre and yellow, with a woman and a lion before a fire emblematic of Fortitude and with a scantily clad soldier holding a spear and shield inscribed S.P.Q.R. emblematic of Power within a robbiana surround and labelled for A.APPII and A.LVPVLO (the first with old restored chips to neck, a small area of flaking to lion's flank and to right side of bottle, the second with two chips to rim and chip to footrim)
