A MEISSEN KAKIEMON LOBED QUATREFOIL TEACUP AND SAUCER
CIRCA 1730, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARKS
Painted with a phoenix and trailing flowering branches of peony and chrysanthemum within seeded purple ground borders edged with iron-red scrolls and pendant red and gilt foliage, the cup with an angular handle (cup with minute filled chip to rim and footrim)

With Röbbig, Munich, from whom it was acquired in September 1991.
