A 28-BORE PERCUSSION EARLY SEA SERVICE PISTOL; AND THREE 28-BORE PERCUSSION SEA SERVICE COASTGUARD PISTOLS
The first dated 1842, the remaining three each dated 1849
The first with 6in barrel struck with Ordnance view and proof marks, bevelled lock with stepped tail, linear borders and engraved 'VR' crowned and 'TOWER', regulation brass mounts, iron belt hook, and stirrup ramrod; the remaining three each with Ordnance view and proof marks, flat lock with linear borders and engraved 'VR' crowned and 'TOWER', one stock stamped with the supplier's names 'Yeomen' and 'I. Floyd', another 'I. Cook' and 'Flavell' and the last 'W.Scott', and each fitted with belt hook (the last with patches of rust).
