A Chinese blue and white teapot and cover, Kangxi (1662-1722) with modern silver mounts
of ribbed globular form, surmounted by a bamboo shaped over-handle and a domed cover with a bud finial, the spout issuing from the jaws of a mythical beast and painted with a foliate spray, the body and cover densely painted with foliate floral scrolls, the neck with a lappet border, with modern silver mounts -- 11¾in. (29.8cm.) high.
