A pair of Chinese polychrome and gilt baluster vases, 19th century
with twin gilt fixed ring beast-head handles, with a lightly crackled glaze, painted with a dignitary surrounded by attendants, the ladies washing his feet in a large basin, large underglaze blue and gilt embellished equestrian warriors and sword bearing figures to the reverse side, the shoulder with a band of tree shrews amongst fruiting vine -- 24 7/8in. (63.2cm.) high. (2)
