Marc Metayer has confirmed the authenticity of this painting.

William A. Graham was the owner of the Graham Gallery located in Houston near the Menil Collection. He operated galleries in New York and Paris before moving to Houston in 1981 and opening the Graham Gallery. Among the artists represented by Graham were Eric Avery, Gay Block, Mel Chin, Alain Clement, Patricia Gonzales, Tracy Harris, Ron Hooper, Richard Stout, Jack Tileston, Robert Levers, and Bonnie Lynch.
