With deep rounded sides flaring slightly towards the rim, the exterior covered in a pale blue glaze pooling to a darker color in a line at the top of the foot

A slightly larger Yongzheng-marked bowl (14.5 cm. diam.) of this rare type is illustrated by J. Ayers, The Baur Collection Geneva, Chinese Ceramics, vol. 3, Geneva, 1972, no. A 330, where the author notes that this bowl along with nos. A 331 and A 329 may "represent one of the varieties of yüeh-pai ('moon-white') glazed wares mentioned in T'ang Ying's 1729 List as having been made for the court". A similar pair of bowls was included in the exhibition, Chinese Porcelain: The S.C. Tianminlou Collection, Hong Kong Museum of Art, 1987, vol. I, no. 148. Another pair of bowls from the collection of Stephen Junkunc III, was sold in these rooms, 21 September 1995, lot 248 and later exhibited by S.
