The rectangular green leather-lined writing-surface above three ash-lined frieze drawers with convex quarter-fillets, the central drawer with a leather-lined hinged reading-slope, each pedesal with a door enclosing four drawers on the right and four pigeon-holes on the left, the reverse with three simulated frieze drawers above a door in each pedestal enclosing a shelf, on a moulded plinth, one door with spurious stamp 'GILLOWS LANCASTER'
