Forged in two pieces and finished with a rich chocolate-brown patina, with a hinged nose piece and applied with a stiff boar-bristle moustache, pegs to hold helmet cord on the cheeks; lips lacquered red and teeth silver; fitted with a four-lame solid-plate throat guard laced in green
