LATE 19TH/EARLY 2OTH CENTURY, SPURIOUS BLUE INTERLACED L'S MARKS, SIGNED E. GRISARD
Each of baluster form, the domed cover with pine cone finial and gilt with a scrolling foliate border, above a pierced anthemion rim and waisted neck with a musical trophy and gilt foliate surround, the tapering body applied with a pair of scrolled acanthus and tasselled drapery-festooned handles, one decorated with a scene of Venus attended by Cupid and tritons, the other with Vulcan attended by nymphs and putti, the reverse of each painted with a landscape with ancient ruins, on foliate-gilt circular spreading foot, above a laurel garland and chamfered square plinth
