Each of rectangular form, with an associated levant rosso marble top with molded edges, above a pierced apron centered by a shell flanked by C-scroll, on scrolled cabriole legs with hooved feet, joined by C-scrolled stretchers, each with a repaired crack to the marble top, with traces of silvering to the decoration, previously but not orginally with wooden tops

Lot Essay

The bold muscularity of these impressive console tables, with their voluted supports terminating in zoomorphic hoof feet, relates to other tables in the same spirit attributed to Liguria, notably a table sold Semenzato, Rome, 25 October 1990 (illustrated in A. González-Palacios, Il Mobile in Liguria, Genoa, 1996, p. 148), and another formerly in the collection of Craig Wright, sold Sotheby's New York, 3 October 2006, lot 68 ($54,000 inc. premium).
