A KAKIEMON DECAGONAL JAR AND COVER, late 17th Century
Decorated in various coloured enamels with a continuous scene of hibiscus issuing from rocks on which a bird perches, the shoulder with a band of stylized cloud pattern beneath an iron-red zig-zag pattern on the straight neck, motifs repeated on the slightly domed cover, disc-shaped knop finial (cover damaged)
