A Japanese ormolu-mounted Imari bottle vase, late 17th century, the ormolu 19th century
of pear shape rising to the tall neck, supported on a short foot, decorated with leaf shaped cartouches, birds and peony, chrysanthemum, prunus and bamboo sprays, framed by an ormolu mount rising from the base forming the handles and mouth with chased leaf scrolls bearing berries and flowers -- overall 14¼in. (36.2cm.) high.
