A matched pair of Chinese blue and white saucer-dishes, Kangxi (1662-1722)
each with a shallow cavetto rising to the everted lappet shaped rim, painted with a central medallion enclosing a scholar and his attendant crossing a bridge between pagodas on a riverbank, the rim with storks in a pond amidst foliage, the reverse with foliate floral sprigs -- max. 7½in. (19cm.) high. (2)
