A Chinese famille rose fluted oval tureen, cover and stand, Qianlong (1736-1795)
all enamelled with butterflies in flight amongst scattered floral and fruit sprays and spearhead borders; a pair of famille rose oval barbed rimmed dishes, each decorated with a butterfly in flight and deer amidst bamboo and lingzhi fungus; and a famille rose grisaille dish, with a cricket amidst peony and daisy sprays, the rim with the 'Three Friends' en grisaille alternating with chrysanthemum, peony and pink sprays, all Qianlong -- the dish 12 11/16in. (32.2cm.), the tureen 9in. (22.8cm.) wide.
