See Simon Spero and John Sandon, Worcester Porcelain 1751-1790, The Zorensky Collection, 1996, p. 120, no. 88 for another similar. One of the few models based on a Meissen rather than on a silver prototype, the model was conceived as a pair with the handle looped to one side or the other. The model would seem to correspond to the 'Leaf Sauceboats Enamelled 1st 2nd' as listed on the factory's price list at 3 shillings and 3 shillings sixpence for the two sizes.
