AN EGYPTIAN OOLITIC LIMESTONE CYLINDRICAL JAR
Of slightly concave shape, with everted rim, 4 3/8 in. (11.2 cm.) high; a red veined white stone pilgrim 'dummy' flask, with rounded lip, twin handles and a flattened lentoid body, possibly Ramesside period, circa 1295-1070 B.C., 4¾ in. (11.7 cm.) high; a banded calcite jar, in three parts, of carinated form, 3½ in. (8.8 cm.) high; and a red limestone elongated ovoid jar, with flat base, 7½ in. (18.5 cm.) high (4)

Collection of Dr. R. Schmidt (1900-1970), and thence by descent to the present owner (see lot 28 onwards).
