A RARE AND IMPORTANT SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND RING
The oval-shaped sapphire weighing 38.05 carats to the tapered baguette-cut diamond shoulders
Accompanied by report No. 0507518 dated 13 July 2005 from the Gübelin Gem Lab stating that the sapphire is of Burmese origin, no indications of heat treatment
An appendix from the Gübelin Gem Lab to the above report states that the sapphire 'possesses a richly saturated and homogeneous colour, combined with a high degree of transparency, and a finely proportioned cut. Such a combination of characteristics is rare in natural Burmese sapphires of this size.'
