A PAIR OF UNUSUAL IVORY FIGURES OF CRESTED BIRDS
LATE 18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY
Each well modelled looking directly ahead, standing on tall pierced rockwork bases strewn with pine branches, the birds sensitively carved with wing feathers folded back over their long tails, their bodies and crests lightly incised with feather markings, each with a short circular tuft above their triangular beaks
