(Marginal repair in first leaf, occasional light spotting.) 18th-century English red morocco, gilt fillet border on sides, spine gilt with olive morocco lettering-pieces, marbled endpapers, gilt edges (lightly rubbed at extremities). Provenance: Francis Frederick Fox (armorial bookplate).
Third edition of De morali lepra and sixth edition of Manuale confessorum. The two works were often printed to accompany one another, sharing format and lay-out, as here, and sometimes formed a single edition. Nider supported the reform of the religious orders, in particular that of his own Dominican order.
