Kneeling side-by-side, each figure is modelled with a rounded face and a smiling expression, grasped in the right hand of one boy is a bundle of long stemed lotus extending over his right shoulder, his left hand resting on his companion's shoulder, in observation of his twin who is playfully opening the lid of a circular wicker box, revealing a longtailed bird, the stone of a cream-white tone with areas of russet inclusions
