A white jade carving of Liuhai and boy group, 19th century
the seated immortal carved holding in his right hand a large lotus sprig lifted over his shoulder, embracing a boy seated before him with his left arm, the boy holding a box and cover, the figures with tonsured heads, wearing flowing robes tied at the waist, the stone of white-pale celadon tone with milky inclusions -- 1 7/8in. (4.7cm.) high.
