Autograph letter signed to Laman Blanchard, Doughty Street, 'Wednesday morning' [n.y.], 'count upon me as the most enthusiastic and ardent supporter of the plot'; to prove his 'sincerity and earnestness', Dickens plans to visit his friend that very day 'to put myself bodily into your hands' one page, 8vo (browned at inner margin); together with an autograph cheque signed, for the sum of £21 made out to 'wages and house', 25 March 1861 (small hole, not affecting script); and one other fragment.
