Lot Essay

The present group is an adaptation of Bustelli's group 'Lovers among the ruins', which has an additional architectural backdrop behind the figures. For an illustration of this group, see Alfred Ziffer, Nymphenburger Porzellan, Sammlung Bäuml, Schloss Nymphenburg Catalogue, Munich (Stuttgart, 1997), p. 51, no. 70.
