A group of three Japanese netsuke, 19th Century
the first two of ivory: of a child within a shishi mai mask and cloak beating a drum, pupils inlaid, signed Ikkosai; three musicians surrounding a shishimai dancer just about to lift the mask upon his head, signed Chokyusai; the last of wood and carved in the form of a shishimai mask, eyes inlaid in aogai -- the first 1 11/16in.
