A Japanese Kakiemon globular jar, Edo period (late 17th Century)
the squat body with short foot and straight mouth painted in iron-red, blue, turquoise, yellow and black enamels with birds perched on branches of chrysanthemum and other flowers -- 4.3in. (11 cm.) high.
