The ebony backboard of typical shield shaped form, the hollow reverse accommodating the pendulum, oval pendulum aperture, the case with four spiral twist corner pillars, glazed side doors, the front surmounted by a pierced cast brass fret depicting Faith, Hope and Love, the side frets depicting two lions bearing the coat-of-arms of Amsterdam and inscribed NU ELCK SYN SIN, the brown velvet covered wooden dial with brass hour chapter ring with signature Sibrand Booy/TOT CROMMENIE with sword hilt half hour markers, single brass hand, above a quarter chapter ring with half quarter hour markers with brass arrow hand, date and month aperture with white painted chapter rings to the sides, the short-duration movement with wooden ringed tapering pillars, the front style of the movement with stamped signature BY W.D.
