This pair of black basalt Triton candlesticks were second in a series of limited edition connoisseur's items made by Wedgwood craftsmen at the Barlaston factory, Staffordshire in 1973.
Inspired by a pair modelled by John Flaxman at Etruria, circa 1775, this limited edition pair are accompanied by a signed and numbered certificate, a pamphlet and a letter from the Wedgwood factory at Barlaston addressed to J.S.Goddard and dated 29 November 1974.
