Lot Essay

Other drawings by this hand are in the Institut Néerlandais, Paris (K.G. Boon, The Netherlandish and German Drawings of the XVth and XVIth Centuries of the Frits Lugt Collection, Paris, 1992, I, no. 260, II, pl. 42 and figs. 162, 164) and in the Kupferstichkabinett, Dresden. Another, according to Boon possibly a copy, was sold at Sotheby's, Amsterdam, 14 November 1988, lot 7, illustrated.
