The plain silver inner case with split bezel, seven piece hinge and makers mark P.R. surmounted by a crown and further stamped 4002, the silver champlevé dial with engraved and blacked Roman chapters, fleur-de-lys half-hour marks, outer Arabic five-minute divisions, Royal coat-of-arms to the centre and bearing signature TOMPION/LONDON, blued steel beetle and poker hands, the frosted gilt chain fusee movement with balance cock pierced and engraved with the Royal coat-of-arms, tapering pillars, plain steel balance to the verge escapement, signed Tho Tompion/London and numbered 4003
