Inlaid overall with arabesques and grotesques en première partie, the rounded rectangular hinged lid mounted to the underside with a medallion stamped VAN OVERBERG, INVENTEUR BREVETÉ/EXPOSITION UNIVERSELLE AGRICULTURE-INDUSTRIE-BEAUX-ARTS/PARIS 1855, the front with a panelled frieze with two scrolled candle-holders, above a hinged key-board cover, inscribed to the underside Van-Overbergh, supported to each side by a putto caryatid with scroll foot, on a shaped base with gadrooned rim
