A RARE JIAOTIANXIA FLUTED PEAR-SHAPED VASE
SONG DYNASTY (960-1279)
The bulbous, fluted body rising to a tapered neck with flared rim, supported on a high, splayed foot, covered overall with a finely crackled greenish-yellow glaze, neck restored; together with a group of seven Guanyao shards, the greyish stoneware body covered with an attractive crackled bluish-green glaze of even tone
The vase 7 in. (17.7 cm.) high, the shards 2 to 3/1/4 in. (5.2 to 8.3 cm.) across, Japanese wood boxes (8)
