2o (340 x 260 mm). Etched frontispiece portrait of "Phiz" after the artist's son Walter G. Browne by C.O. Murray, 34 leaves of engravings, and numerous illustrations on India paper laid in throughout after "Phiz" (lightly browned). (Fore-edges lightly browned, occasionally thumbed.) Contemporary half brown morocco gilt, possibly for presentation, uncut (extremities lightly rubbed, top corners bumped). Provenance: Author's presentation copy, recipient unknown; gift inscription dated 1935; Noel Charles Peyrouton (bookplate); Kenyon Starling.
