Seated in rajalalitasana on a double-lotus base over a raised plinth holding a lotus stem, backed by a large flaming halo topped with a chattri, cast with a seal at center

Lot Essay

This bronze is characteristic of the Nalande style; compare with a figure of Manjushri, in U. von Schroeder, Indo-Tibetan Bronzes, 1981, fig. 56G, p. 257.
