CIRCA 1765, UNDERGLAZE BLUE SCRIPT F MARK TO UPPER RIM OF VASE, IMPRESSED NO 2 AND G TO BASE
Painted with figures before thatched cottages and rustic farm buildings in wooded landscapes, with beaded acanthus scroll-moulded handles, the domed cover with lesser landscape vignettes between two pierced lattice-work panels below a rose finial enriched in gilding, within gilt line rims (restoration to footrim, one small shallow chip to rose petal of finial and further minute chipping to edges of petals, associated areas of retouching to gilding to footrim and finial)

Similar views were carried out by Johann Friedrich 'Pascha' Weitsch (1723-1803) who painted the Carl I, Duke of Brunswick Service.
Siegfried Ducret attributes this type of painting to the artists Ahrend August Hartmann or J.B. Junge, after paintings by Franz Edmund Weirotter and his Suite de paysages, dedié à Monsieur Wille. See Siegfried Ducret, Fürstenberger Porzellan, II (Brunswick, 1965), pp. 32-33, pl. 7, 8 & 9.
