CIRCA 1780, INCISED 1O, THE STOPPER LATER
Probably depicting Pantalone, wearing a wide-brimmed black hat, long brown-lined black sleeved zimarra, striped sash, puce suit and yellow shoes, holding his under-garments over a tree-stump, the trunk at the reverse with a flower stopper, on a circular mound base (restoration to nose, associated lacquering to face, restoration to brim of hat, mound base, some footrim chipping with an associated short hairline crack, very slight chipping to flower stopper)
