CIRCA 1805, INCISED U MARK TO CUP
Painted with a portrait of a lady, quarter-length, wearing a bonnet tied with a blue and red spotted ribbon and a lace empire-line dress, against a mottled brown background with a Sgraffito inscription P· LeGros 1805 within a gilt oval band reserved on a simulated marble ground in shades of brown, below a matt-gilt band burnished with stars, the interior richly gilt, the saucer gilt with a monogram LH (?) on similar marbled ground (saucer with faint stained hairline crack, star-crack, minor wear to gilding)
