1807-1808, IMPRESSED 808 TO CUP AND 807 TO SAUCER, BLUE SHIELD MARKS, IMPRESSED 69, 26 AND 60 MARKS, GILDER'S 77. MARKS
The cup of flared form with a wing handle, the front painted and stippled en grisalle with a three-quarter-length portrait of Empress Maria Ludovika Beatrix von Modena turned to her left, wearing a lace ruff and pearls in her hair, within an oval tooled gilt cartouche against a gold ground reserved with matt blue panels painted with symetrical foliage, the saucer with a similarly panelled border (two minute footrim chips to cup, minute wear to gilding and enamels)
