A PAIR OF GERA URN-SHAPED VASES AND COVERS
CIRCA 1785, UNDERGLAZE BLUE G MARKS
The oviform bodies moulded with continuous red ribbon-tied green laurel garlands suspended from lion's masks and draped over gilt-edged oval panels, below moulded ropetwist borders, waisted necks and gadrooned rims, the lower parts moulded with pendant red cloth swags and square panels, on circular socle feet, the domed covers with foliate finials and fluted borders (one cover restored, slight rubbing to gilding, some firing faults)
