Original black cloth with metal disk mounted on the front panel, spine blocked in white, quarto volume in original black wrappers, printed paper label on cover (light wear to metal disk, some minor rubbing to folio volume); original black cardboard clamshell box, printed paper label on spine overlapping on front cover (front joint of box splitting); both housed in black cloth folding case.
FIRST EDITION OF THE "MOST LUXURIOUS" OF THE PROVOKE BOOKS by one of its founding members; taking as his theme the cost paid by Japan for unbridled consumerism, "Takanashi addresses this complex question with lyrical passion" (The Photobook). A very good copy. The Photobook, vol. I, p.302.
