Of slightly flat-sided drop form with wide tubular neck and flaring mouth, a simple loop handle on each shoulder, on short flaring foot, each face enamelled with a central Iznik inspired tulip and carnation spray flanked by similar panels below a gold band of white enamelled naskh inscription, a band of meandering carnations and tulips above, simple band around the mouth, a German inscription under the foot reading Der Wille Gottes geschehe forming a circle around the Lobmeyer monogram

The Arabic inscription on the shoulders is a repeat of ma'shah allah (as God wills).

An almost identical vase, with the same inscription and colour scheme is in the Khalili Collection (Stephen Vernoit, Occidentalism, London, 1997, no. 176, p. 227).
