This very elegant ewer uses an alternation of plain and decorated ribs that is rare to find on such a vessel. Ewers of very similar shape but each with slight variation are published by Mark Zebrowski (Gold Silver and Bronze from Mughal India, London, 1997, esp. pp.160 and 162-3).
